Smaller, lighter, 120GB HD instead of 80GB, and $100 less, to be released September 1 in the US.

The REAL question is... is it fully backwards compatible? Cause if not, Sony is still on my shit list and will continue to not get any more of my business!

Sounds like it, except that they have removed the Install Other OS feature. No more Linux on the PS3.
