I hope I am posting this in the right place.

I want to put this stream on my land

How do i go about getting the url?

I opened it in Winamp and went to File-View File Info

i feel completely stupid here. i downloaded winamp, and when i load the url you gave it just tries to make me download it, which says it will take 3 hours.

and when i go to file, view file info all the boxes are blank.

i am doing something wrong, but i have spent over an hour clicking buttons and knobs ....

i'm trying to get an url addy i can post as inworld media music... thought those were all numeric...

edit: opened shoutcast link, dug around through what they had to offer and found that your method works for stuff they have access to. i am still umable to obtain a url of this nature

I used the url you gave and opened that in winamp. When that was done, I used the file-view file info method to get the url I posted, which worked fine in SL for me.

So, long answer, you don't always need that format of url in all numbers.

This should work in your SL land media tab for music...

BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE!

I opened winamp and then, from the url in your original post, I clicked the winamp symbol, seen here

Once that got the music flowing in winamp, I clicked the File drop down and then "View file info..."

This box pops up...

That url can be used in SL.

don't think you are on my nice list... i still have a bite-me out there for you, since you tried to stab me with a rusty screwdriver. but, maybe i'll reduce it to a nibble.... just because.
