Ecstasy and Vendetta (Dark Mercury Book 3) released and available.
Yeah, I know I haven't been here on the site for a LONG time, and I'm only coming back to spam, but I thought there might be some people here who wanted to know but who don't follow my books on Facebook.
Book 3 of my series is now available on Kindle, and should be available in print within a month or less.
I'm an asshole... I've yet to get around to starting to read the first book.
But in my defense... PARENTHOOD!!!
(Well, that and forums... and gaming... but I can pop in and out of those. I like to get all intimate with books, giving them some undivided attention and shit, ya dig?)
K, I'm done digging my hole now.
Gratz on the new book release!
I'll be looking forward to when it comes out in print, even though it'll be a while til I get to it.
It's an exciting story to read... I can't wait until I start!
And thanks for coming through here and letting us know.
(I'm one of the ones who don't have you on Facebook.)
Even if you're only here for a little bit.
It IS about fucking time. Personal life/career got in the way of it. I'm actually at the point now of considering trying to leave work in favor of taking the dive into writing more aggressively. Still a bit of a dream, though.
It's a great book. I had the great honor of editing it for Mr. Augie.
Now I wanna go back and read 1, 2, and this one all in a row.

This user laughed so hard that they peed a little:
Book 2 will be in print about 2 weeks or so. I just ordered my proof copies for an early March delivery, and once I check to make sure everything is golden, that'll be that.
After having posted what I did last time, I started reading book 1 today!
Granted, I only made it through the prelude and Chapter 1, but it's a start!
I can't wait to read through this one and move on to the books I haven't seen anything of before!
That reminds me... while reading, I came across a line that I had forgotten, but immediately remembered upon reading it.
It always struck me as an awesome line... one that fleshed out the character for me with just that one sentence, "A severe looking woman with blonde hair pulled back into an impossibly tight bun stands up."
BAM... all of a sudden, there she is... all sharp angles, cold, scowly and, in my mind, dirty blonde.
(She's also a bit older in my head theater.)
Couple things. I started reading and my first thought was "WTF?" I was completely lost. I had to read the last chapter of the second book to figure out / remember what was going on. I would say this is definitely book 3 of a series, not a stand alone.
Have you thought of starting a a Dark Mercury page on Wikipedia? Wouldn't take much work foe free advertising.
When does the board game and action figures come out?
Auggy, next time you pop in can you give us a brief summary of your experience as a self published (mostly) ebook author? First and foremost how is the money? Obviously you aren't getting rich since you are still working but you must not be going broke since you've got the third out now.
Johnny brings up an interesting point... like, how successful it feels self-publishing could be for you.
(My hidden agenda is hoping to hear your sales are fucktastic! )
I'm about halfway through chapter 12 now and I gotta say... it's a blast reading this again.
It's been awhile so I don't recall everything up front, but I'm all like "oh YEAH" as I'm reading... it's fun!
Just a great story and writing... totally keeps me wanting to read the next page and the next page and...
