I find you have to find joy outside yourself in little things.

My happy place is feeding Christians to the lions. I was born in the wrong era

I know a lot of you might think this is total bullshit, but quite honestly the meditation has really helped.

Sitting and just "being" has helped me center myself and I've managed to let all that other stuff go.

What does that mean? Well, your guess is as good as mine on that one. All I can tell you is that things seem to be better and I'm going with it.

Not bullshit at all Red. I think it's a very good thing.

I do think you need to look outside yourself as well though. That's why I recommended looking for the beauty in little things.

Red, I read this thread yesterday catching up on all the threads that I had missed since my little extended forum break. I am sorry for the necro post, but a brother of mine posted this in our private forums and it instantly reminded me of you and this thread. I am glad ya pulled through it and I sincerely hope the worst is behind ya now. I am sorry I was on a forum break when you were going through this.

Oh you know, some days are good, some not so good. Just gotta put on a smile and keep going!

As amazing as this is going to sound, I've actually started dating someone. I know, me?? Crazy right?
An old, old friend from high school who started talking to me on facebook. He started to express interest, which was odd since we were never anything more than friends in school. He came to visit and spent a week here, which was really nice. He's back in North Dakota (!!) now, but will prob "visit" again soon. So yeah, I guess life doesn't suck too much. We'll see.

=)

So far, so good!

I haven't been posting much lately because an old friend was in town and we went to Bend for the week to have some fun. Just got back from dropping her off at the airport.
