Luc, I am thinking you might be needing to talk to a dietitian very shortly.

Do most people really plan ahead all their meals for the day, even on the weekend? Is this one of the those adult steps I've missed? My meal plan for nearly any day looks like this:

B: forage for food in my kitchen
S: "
L: "
S: "
D: "

I made a ham, egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast.

Sans and her mom are busy in the kitchen making Thanksgiving dinner. (Yeah, I know Thanksgiving isn't for a couple of weeks yet -- call it a trial run. I can't complain -- I love turkey.)

I never have meals at prescribed times. I work too darn much.

Sunkist Tropical Mandarin flavored soda
Tony's Cheese pizza for one
Two bites of store bought Carrot Cake
Small piece of ColbyJack Cheese.

I've only been awake since noon.

I always thought that organizing your food routine was for those type that put label on everything in their home, have too much time on their hands, and are all together just uptight.

Since I've been trying to mindfully eat, this does indeed help. It forces me not to grab that bag of dorritos or the frozen dinner, etc, foods that are less healthy but more convenient to toss in the micro or just gobble right at that moment.

I feel that, at least I know in my head, that I had chosen x,y, or z to eat earlier and not have to think about it at the moment that I am about to prepare food. I do argue with myself about it, because sometimes I don't feel like the food I had planned by the time that particular meal might come around. I am not so strict though, and if I feel like something else I do it, I don't get all guilty on myself either, it's life.

Everyone has to find what works best for themselves. I don't know that I need to write my food down every day forever but for now I am trying it again. I wish I could be one of those bulk food cooking people so I can just grab something that I made the previous weekend or such. I am not there yet, I have tried it a few times but I haven't been able to sustain that. I need to tweak that plan, I do like the idea behind it.
