Default Goddamned Apple (or, The New iTunes Sucks)

Anyone out there do iTunes?

I'm trying to create a playlist for the office and I can't figure out how to delete songs from a playlist. I can drag and drop onto the playlist to add, but I can't get songs off. Can anyone give me a pointer?

Thanks!

Your first step is to uninstall iTunes.

SENT USING THE TAPATALK 4 ANDROID, which is not the droid you're looking for.

Does <right click> pull up a menu? I rarely use the mouse but on the track pad that's how I do it.

I'm looking forward to the newest iOS. I've seen images; it's like the old iOS, but more modern and mature-looking.

IDK all I do is click on the song I want to delete, it brings up a box with a bunch of options of what you want to do, and "delete" is one of them.

It's horrible to be in the Apple Zone.

I can't help you with iTunes. I have an iPod, but I haven't had to sync it to iTunes I think ever since iOS 5; even whole OS updates are completely over the air now. I think the newest iTunes I've got on my computer is 7 or something like that; don't know what they're up to now.

Nope. I can delete songs from the library itself, but not specific playlists.

Oryx, I just checked iTunes on my computer. (I rarely use the computer as I'm always on the iPad). For me the playlists are on the left column and at the bottom. When I click on the playlist the songs show up on the right. If I right click on the song I don't wast about 20 options show up and close to the bottom of the list is delete. It should say remove because it doesn't delete from your library, just the playlist.

Does that help?

Not at computer for the next five days, but I don't think so. What version are you using?

11.1 but its the Apple version. But it's the newest so it should be the same.

If its not we will have to do screen shots unless you want me to call you when you are actually at the computer

Hopefully this is still accurate with the current version.

To delete an item from a playlist, select the playlist in the Source pane and then select the item. Press Delete/Backspace or choose Edit→Delete. In the warning dialog that appears, click Remove to remove the selected item from the list.

You can also completely delete an item from your library from within a playlist by selecting the item and pressing Command+Option+Delete (Mac) or Ctrl+Alt+Backspace (Windows).

Oryx says thanks, Kavik. She'll give it a shot when she gets back home.
