We want to get into that eventually/soon.

Oh! Sweet!
I didn't realize Neverwinter is in open beta now!

I should go update my install (if I don't need a new client).
Hmm... it's not connecting. :/

They're giving updates on their Facebook page.
As of 25 minutes ago:
Quote:
Hello Everyone - We are still working to resolve the downtime issue, though unfortunately we are still unable to provide a concrete ETA. We will continually post updates until the issue is resolved.
And from the comments:

Angus DacGyver Can we get an asphalt ETA at least, or marble?

And yes, I'll hit up Dragon Shard.
I may already be on there... although I'm guessing closed beta characters have been wiped.

I went into Neverwinter earlier today for a little while and besides a little rubberbanding it runs well. Just bought Star Wars: The Force Unleashed I and II through Steam's 66% off weekend sale. I got them together for $13.58. They also have a 50% off sale on Tomb Raider games through the weekend. Also playing some SWTOR.

Damn it all to hell.
I put off playing Defiance so I could get a character up and running in Neverwinter.
But they don't have it back up yet and I should've just played Defiance, but now I'm like "any second, I just know it..."

I guess I'll go take the dog for a walk and hope it's up when I get back.
Maybe it'll be up in time for me to at least get a character made.

I have about a half hour before work, am going to try to finish whatever it was I was doing yesterday... My rogue is named Gwynfyr. Matt's priest is named Gemroc. He's SUPPOSED to be going to one of his zillion jobs today, but I suspect he'll jump on for a minute or two when I'm not looking.

Pre 2013:
1994-1998: various MUDs and MUSHs, multi player Doom
2007:SL
2008: SL, WoW (1 day)
2009-2012: SL

2013:
Jan-March: SL, Star Trek Online; tried downloading DCU but it not work
March: SL, Star Trek Online, WoW, Neverwinter (closed beta)
April: SL, Star Trek Online, WoW, Defiance, Age of Wushu, Scarlet Blade, Forsaken, Star Wars: TOR
May: SL, Star Wars: TOR, Neverwinter (open beta)

I doubt I will continue Neverwinter. I got to level 20 a few tim3s in closed BETA and up to 15 several more times. Only to find open BETA starting out exactly the same way. And I have to start at 1 again, since they wiped the characters. I think I'm up to 5 now, but not only am I bored, it feels like work. Trudging along, doing thinjs I've already done many times mmphs.

Y'know... we should probably start a NWN thread.

I'd just do it now, but I have a baby on my lap who keeps trying to "type".
If not that, then he's kicking the keyboard drawer shut.

Gotta finish downloading Age of Wushu one of these days.

Currently playing Continent of the Ninth (C9), TERA, and occasionally Scarlet Blade, for lulz.

I've been playing both sides, hero and villain. So far it's been interesting. I like it well enough, though it took me a little bit to get out of the opening space ship. The first time.

I wasn't much of a comic reader, as in not, until about . . . um, hmm. Well, the 21st century at some point. 2002/3/9, somewhere along there. And I didn't read DC comics until their "New 52" reboot last year. So, there's that to keep me interested.

Though, Marvel Heroes, which I downloaded today and played for a tiny tiny amount of time, is a joke of a game. Marvel Heroes is like a game from the '90s, graphics-wise, and the camera is at bird's eye view. So I hurriedly and viciously killed it from my computer.

So, it isn't just because it's comics related that keeps my interest.

Age of Wushu was interesting, though I've only been able to get myself to log in twice.

I've never heard of C9 or Tera. I've logged into Scarlet Blade on at least two separate days. For the lulz, eh? I logged in to see if I could get them stripped and fight people naked. *nods* Bouncing around, nudely. Supposedly there's some method of getting them either at lingerie level or nude. But, I've mostly stopped playing it.

Well, I downloaded DCUO but haven't installed it yet.
I guess it can't hurt to give it a whirl, so I'll get it up and running later.

On a different note...
I kind of regret not keeping up with Fallen Earth.
I tried it back when it first came out, but left off early on.
Apparently it's gotten some uplifts and shit... I may have to go back and check it out again.

I've managed to stop playing DCUO for a whole month now. Go me! \o/

The game is much more expansive than I first assumed; really, reaching lvl 30 just means you're finally done with the tutorial. The end content is challenging, especially the raids, but there needs to be more PVP-involved content at the high end.

Like I said, I've managed not to play for a whole month. It's been nice to get something accomplished around here instead.

I'm TRYING to play Skyrim, but I decided to pick up where I left off (after playing for 40 mins) from the very first time I tried it. I just made the whole town mad at me. LMAO

I think I shall start a new character.

I just came across this MMORPG that seems pretty interesting. It's called OUTSIDE and the graphics/animations are amazing. So far I've been enjoying it (for the most part) but the learning curve for the game mechanics is a bit steep. You really can't start to do much until you hit about level 18. It takes a while to master the crafting system but once you do you can make some amazing stuff. They even have a space section, although that's only for extremely high level crafters.

It seems worth a look, you should check it out.

Here's a couple videos if you are interested.

I recently bought "The Elder Scrolls Anthology", which is all five Elder Scrolls games (with official expansions). The only one I've ever played before now is Morrowind, but now I've got them all.

Now playing Skyrim for the first time. Man, what a gorgeous game.

Just got attacked by cultists wearing Cthulhu-masks who called me "the False-Dragonborn". Really think I'm gonna have to visit Solstheim and have a word with their boss.

Sweet.
I've yet to really play Skyrim.

I'm stuck on Elderscrolls Online.
I have 3 characters at 15, one at 12 and another at 11.
Once I have them all at 15, I'm going to post pics of them all in the ESO thread (I forget what it's actually called).

A good necro, too!

Still playing WoW?
... wow!

That Black Desert looks pretty.
Reminds me of Dynasty Warriors style of play, which I think of as RPG fast-food.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

It's been WAY too long since I've hung out in SL, much less worked on anything for my (still unopened) shop!
Every time I get drunk, I think of going in-world to hang out at a club... but end up hanging out in forums or meandering through weird shit on YouTube instead.

Also, I'm still playing Elderscrolls online.
I now have a full roster (+1 additional slot I bought) on the NA server and 3 characters on the EU server.
(Well, 4, including the one I plan on deleting.)

I've also been into No Man's Sky since it's release.
And just yesterday they released a massive update!!!
I played for hours since the update and have yet to even scratch the surface of a lot that it has to offer.
(And that's besides the graphics/UI improvements that are quite welcome!)

Still playing WoW here, too. Since the release of Legion, I have found a whole new interest in it.

That's pretty damn impressive!
I mean, that's some serious staying power!

The only MMO that ever stuck with me like that was City of Heroes.
I miss the hell out of that game and still have random flashbacks of moments/locations/etc from the game.
Just meandering along in some store or another then BAM I'm recalling a detailed memory of a few minutes in a mission or just running around certain areas.
Just writing this is making me see a scattershot of things from it, in my head.

Luckily, there's a good looking spiritual successor.
Their beta, or something like it, has a target date of fall 2018.
There is a tremendous amount of lore.
And not boring stuff, engaging comic book type of stuff.
It's gotten pretty deep and new maps were just released.
Anyway, if you're interested, it's City of Titans.

And as every comic universe has their main hero(es), so does CoT.

Meet Anthem:

Her arm?
She lost it and that's a prosthetic.

Missing World Media have been working on actual prosthetics due to that character.
City of Titans Prosthetic Limb Development Spawns from Cosplay
"A forum post made by Warcabbit and Terwyn outlined a side project that started as a City of Titans cosplay design and turned in to a City of Titans prosthetic limb development project."

And I suspect I'll be playing No Man's Sky for years to come.
Especially if their first big update is anything to go by.
