Unhappy SIM issues

Lately, i don't understand what is going on with my sim. For 5 years I have not had issues until lately.

I have restarted, removed scripts deleted objects. I am at my wits end. I currently only have 174 scripts running on the sim. all of them are under 0.0#.

My sim time dilatation and fps are always 0.99/1.00 and 45. Lately its all over the place.

are other people experiencing issues on their sim or know of other people. This has been the last few weeks.

Its like my avatar cant move, or its like holding me back with a rubber band.

nvm, I read you have tried the restarts, that is all I can think of.

I think that if you can discount sim neighbours, scripts, avatars and physical objects as being the issue then the only thing to do is get LL onto it as i doubt there is anything resident side you can do.

i dont have neighbors and nothing physical. i can understand people and the load on the server. my sim has had a lot of traffic

i am thinking about shutting it down for a day to give it a rest. i don't know

I meant neighbours on the server, you are sharing with 3 others if it is a full sim, or 15 if a homestead. However if you have restarted a few times and that has not changed anything then that is unlikely to be the issue.

No but there is some number in the about box on the sim address that changes when you change server I am led to believe. It is all hit and miss but some people keep restarting and eventually they change server and the performance is better.

You could probably search for this information on the SL forums as it was discussed at length there.

It can happen but also it could be brought up on the same server again - nobody knows what the rules are concerning this.

If it is network issues like Ramonna is suggesting then it should be possible to see this in the ping sim being larger than normal. I would be surprised if that affected the sim fps or time dilation though.
Sim FPS/Physics FPS and Time dilation are how well the sim software is processing the demands placed upon it and not how well it is communicating.

Yes, texture loading is getting slower but Tya says she cannot move around either - when I login at the moment, I get the slower loading texture sometimes too but I can always move around. Also again that does not affect Sim/Physics FPS or Time Dilation.

Not being able to move around is sometimes when the sim is too slow to keep up with your request but mostly it is when the ping sim is too high. It takes longer for you to send your direction changes etc. to the server and the viewer interpolates, when the server catches up the rubber-banding effect happens.

This has not been happening for me though i get the slow texture loading and presumably Tya is fine on other islands and mainland sims?

Tya isn't complaining of the slow rez though Mo, she is complaining of bad sim stats and rubber-banding.

I don't own land and know virtually nothing about it, but from my years on the forums this is how I always understood it to be.

You are OK moving about on other sims atm?

If so then forget about it being your side that is the problem or it being the general texture slow down.

Yeah everyone is getting rez issues, not everyone is getting rubber-banding and time dilation isn't affecting everyone either. So that is not the problem that affects just your performance on your sim.

Tya,

Hop on the phone to concierge. I've had them go in and check out the sim while I'm on the phone with them and help pinpoint any issues. Really helpful group of people in that department. They pinpointed a few troublesome objects and possibly made a few adjustments on their end and things were much better a day later.

Perhaps concierge would be willing to move your sim to another server if they can't identify a problem but you can show them that it is. You must be willing to lead them by the hand to get good service.
