Io, whenever it arrives, will be appreciated and, displayed. I'm so lazy cards stay on our mantel at least a month past the holidays. Feel better, no worries!

We got Johnny and Tex's cards on Monday. I sent ours on Monday. Merry Christmas, everyone.

Sent from the Freakphone.

Besides, Io, both UPS and the Post Office have admitted that they're way back logged. Millions of people are going to get late cards and presents this year. So hey, blame it on the Republicans, budget cuts and all that!

The Mission Control Desk here at The Little Heap on the Prairie has some nice festive adornments for the time being- thanks to all who sent them!

That said, two of mine have yet to go out, because I got the flu for xmas and am still in recovery. Will get that sorted in time for ... Valentine's Day? [I kid]

Yesterday and today all we got were the adverts flyers. I did see our mail carrier this morning and she told me they are so far behind and overwhelmed that by the time they get started on their routes, in a lot of cases all they have are the adverts!

I should be happy that no bills have arrived, but then again, I don't want to be late on payments either because of this. (some of them should have been here last week - I keep track of them crazy like!)

Package from China.
Medical bill.
Annual medical bill summery.
Letter from American Cremations. (Seriously, who wants this in the mail?)
Letter from Ramtha.
Wait, that's not from Ramtha, it's a Christmas card from Trout and Oryx!
And another card from Sans and P2!

That'd be pretty funny. Just send one of your friends a box full of ashes with a made-up cremation company and some sort of mysterious name tag. Wait for hilarity to ensue.

I did receive a card from one of my cousins yesterday, she apparently has a contract with Forest Lawn Mortuary. She included her business card and asked if I was interested and could possibly get me a discount..... Thanks for the thought, but really, did you have to include that in your Christmas card to me?

Nothing says Merry Christmas like "can I sell you a burial plan?"

Welp.

Given that the tracking numbers show that they were mostly all delivered, and the fact that nobody has mentioned them, I'm going to assume that the elves' defective boxes totally failed and the intended spinny xmas stuffs all failed.

:hangs head, sits under Charlie Brown's tree:

Here's what they looked like before the USPS and my crappy packaging got a-hold of them.

And ps., they were working pinwheels. :P

Sorry my experiment failed so consistently, kids. And the message of "Happy Orbit Day" had to do with how the Solstice is all about our rotation around the Sun. By the time I got done making the several dozen I did, I was all out of fingertips [hot glue gun] and cheer.

:P

I love them. I love the glittery edges - red, green, silver, gold. I assume you can hang them by the gold ribbon?

The gold ribbons are meant to dangle in sparkly curls, the hangers were red or green ribbons [or white yarn, above].

Strangely enough, all the people we gave boxes of cookies to had their spinnies come through intact. You'd think they'd be more likely to crush/disassemble...

Well, poo. Next year boxed cards. :P

Jen, The USPS is still back up. I just received a package that was "tracked" as being delivered last Friday. *hugs*

Hope your fingers have healed up.

We hung ours on our card display thinger (my mom's seasonal quilt hanger). And P2 was super excited to get Matt's business card. We both were, but P2 was SUPER excited, lol. (I was super excited to get a "Ready For Hillary" Christmas card because I've been slipping that campaign about $5 a month since last June, lol).

Sent from the Freakphone.

Yay! We got Jen's cute little holiday pinwheel not a minute ago!
It kind of came apart, but not badly; we can easily put it back together.

Just got our card from Oryx and Trout today (thanks Oryx!), Johnny's too! I totally wasn't expecting one from Coco, but it's here, it's hand Coco made and utterly gorgeous.

It's my eldest son Adam's 16th birthday today, so it was kinda special that all your cards rocked up to our place on his special day.

Thanks to all of you.
You all make happy shit. And that's a good thing.
