Default Bragging rights

I belong to a corp called Suddenly Ninjas. Our function is to serve as a bane for carebears who believe they and their activities are safe and secure in high security space. We're not the only corporation which serves this function; we probably weren't even the first. And to be honest, there's no real way of determining whether or not we are the "best" at it. But we have fun.

We get up to all sorts of hijinks. Those for which we are most notorious are mission invasions, which we occasionally lose. But in our travels, sometimes we see a ship so juicy we can't resist, and will lower ourselves to suicide ganking.

When the target - mission runner or suicide gank - pops, we can salvage and loot their wreck. Unlike the NPCs, players can fit their ships with some valuable modules, and we can scoop up the ones that drop and sell them for a tidy profit. Sometimes the loot is garbage, sometimes it's fairly decent, and once in a great while it's so epic that it makes the front page of Massively. (more)

In the interests of fairness, I did not participate in that particular gank; but we at SN have a lot of team spirit.

Meanwhile we just blew up 3 enemy CSAA's (Cap ship assembly arrays) with reports say one Avatar and two Nyx's on the cooker.

Real world value of about 5000 US give or take.

This isn't a game so much as a grief engine.

Well usually all targets respond with "I could equip another X just like it, ho-hum"; but yes, this pilot was particularly gracious about it - even despite attempts to squeeze more tears from him by some other members of the ganking team.

I think you misunderstood me.

Instead of responding in a rage and what not.

He chose the avenue of praising and moving on.

No, I understood you perfectly; I was just a agreeing with you, with the caveat that "I could make another ship just like it" is usually rage but happened to not be in this case.

Turns out it was 3 titans and the mats for two more, making it the most expensive connected series of kills in the history of eve.

Wintered yarn, male sibling. Too bad they don't hand out KM's for ships that don't exist yet.

We prefer a "Isk Destroyed for effort" viewpoint. Goonswarm has never cared about KM's.

Allthough if you want to get technical our fleet battle that led up to this destroyed about 50 or so HAC's and countless numbers of support. That generated PLENTY of KM.

As do we; but you can't brag about destroying something that doesn't exist. Thems the rules.

FWIW, my corp could never coordinate the kind of fleet that would pop 50 HACs in a single night. We have neither the active people nor the fleet discipline.

That's not how 0.0 calculates things.

Aborted Titans are quite the big deal on CAOD.

Weird 0.0 people.

I've never even seen a titan before, much less shot at one.

Are you kidding me? I wish I was around for that it sounded hilarious.

Only goons could win what was the richest region in the game, blunder like a pack of idiots into losing it, then troll their own CEO into a massive freakout/corp disband, then accidentally stumble into a region that's worth twice as much as the old one.

If you look at the history of how our violently our CEO's burn out, really Karttoon found the only way to top Remedial posting his dick all over our forums.

Actually, the CEO pretty much made the best of a bad situation. When the sovereignty/territory/whatevertheheck payment-thing lapsed (whatever that's all about), and a lot of their territory was instantly invaded, the guy knew he was finished. What else is left to do? Not Anchored - Take It.

Oh no, it was a definite fuck goons. The corp wallet could have floated operations till sov could be taken borrowed or stolen in the North. It all turned ouut ok due to pure luck.

What a waste. You know what I would do to enjoy the kind of notoriety that guy made for himself? And he just throws it out the window. The horror.

To be fair the only reason he was made CEO is because he invented a hilarious gimick, and goons are not known for their good decision making abilities.
