I was thinking of continuing my skin theme for the blog. There is a thread on SLU about "Best Asian skin" and so I was thinking of maybe doing something like that, Asian Skin creators (ack, not Asian skin creators, but asian skin). One of these days I'll figure out how to find how to find that type of thing. Like your Japanese website. I could look on there for skin. I used to have a feed of German blogs, but I lost it in changing computers.

Ohhhh, now I remember - from the bit of reading I did on that site prior to brain meltdown, the impression I got was the site was a place to connect one's website or blog to.

After *finally* finishing updating all the info in my Xstreet boxes with my updated shop info, making sure all the photos on said site were from my PC and not a third party website (I was already pretty sure they were, but not taking chances and it gave me an excuse to organize my product photo files and throw out old ones), plucking out some items to build over at IW and wanting to list on slapt.me....I'm drained.

THEN, I read (well skimmed) the rules and regs posted on that site.

Czari runs into the street screaming

I seriously need to take a break to have some fun. And the sad thing is, all I'm doing is rearranging current product. Is LL trying to keep us busy with regular policy changes so we can't do anything else? ARRRGGGGHHHH!

Everyone but me may already know about this group and it's definitely too rich for my blood at the moment, but just in case:

http://sldailydeals.com/for-designers/

I received a note card with the basic info from a designer's ad today, so mosied over to the web site to check it out. It's a pay to advertise site, but maybe it will be of interest to someone.

Czari was that the one that was like !k or so to join and they would come inspect your place before allowing you to join? If so they turned me down because i had a few rl pieces of art for sale - i didnt really think it wrong- i have bought plenty myself in world - ut they took that as wrong- so- if thats who they are i didnt get in with them becasue of it. It does sound familiar- who owns the group?

Oh and don't forget to join the Passion For Fashion group in IW -

I vaguely recall the group you're talking about but don't remember the name. I don't know if this is the same one. I just read the designer rules again and they seem to be more about where to place the group sign in the store, deadlines for the item/s to be available to group members, things about group chat, and of course the payment tier level.

Being a small store, the payment alone would stop me, but thought I'd throw it out there for larger stores. But again, no idea if it's the group you checked out already.

Speaking of having one's store inspected, I'm trying to move my business groups to my new "advertising alt." One group I used to belong to but quit due to the constant chat spam. Now with the alt I decided to join again since I would only be logging the alt in to send out notices. This time I received an application from the group owner and one of the stipulations was that the store have at least 20 *different* types of items in it and that someone would come to check the store out.

With limited prims, I'm going to have to be creative to display 20 different items. I have a few ideas though.

Thanks Lexxi After checking out the prices for advertising on their current website, then looking at that post, they seem to now offer just two levels.

It's that time again. We have new ads to add, and some to update, so I thought I should let you all know to get ready for the next BO-Xchange soon.

Please send me any updates asap, and also let me know if you are no longer taking part.

Now that I have an advertising alt (Woot!!!) I had room to rejoin the Biz Owners Network group. Using Czari for all groups - business & social - I was constantly having to figure out which group to drop when I discovered another one I wanted to join.

Now CzarisAttic Couturier is taking care of that.

Thanks again for that great idea, Amar.

If you want to take part in the next BO-Xchange Czari, there's just about time. I have the box just about ready for release, but if you're quick with your ad and LM, I could include it. I'll IM you and CzarisAttic Couturier in-world too just in case you miss this. Hopefully the BO-Xchange will be released over then next few days

Seems the new search will render Picks useless..

I don't have anything in my store yet and I've yet to create the new domain for it (after deciding I don't want the one I've already registered... d'oh!), but I have been working on some advertising graphics lately. I'm planning on buying adspace with SLCC as my first venture into advertising.

Now I just have to actually get some products in my store. And... umm... re-build my store, including replacing the logo with a new one.

Point is, the SLCC advertisements seem like a decent place to get a name out.

Default BO-Xchange update time again...

Posted this to the Biz Owner Network the other day, for those who missed the notices...

"Hi all,

it's time for another BO-Xchange update again.

If you have any updates for me, please send them in a folder called "BO-Xchange - Your Name Here" as usual.

I plan to release the update in about 2 weeks time,
Probably around 22nd or 29th August. Should give everyone enough time.

Cheers,
Prawny"

"Forgot to add that there's been a request to slow down the cycle time a little, as not all people are seeing each ad clearly. I have suggested changing from 15 to 20 seconds. If no-one has any objections then I'll go ahead and do this for the next update."

I can tell you how not to advertise your business.

SPAM!

I bought something, I liked I am happy.

What I am not happy about is every time content creator scratches their ass.
The have to send me an IM about it or a inventory offer to show me a picture of it. or an invite to event to see it.

Roxie if you mean IM's - yup, that is annoying- right up there with random tp offers to parties you dont want to attend or contests you have no interest in.

Notices - boy I have been remiss! I haven't actively advetised in months- it gets to be humdrum.

I know what you mean, takes up too much creative time if I spend too long trying to advertise. That's the good thing about the BO-Xchange. It just sits there in our stores, and if people like the look of an ad that it's showing, then they can click and get an LM. No-one's spamming anyone, it's all about giving our customers choices. I hate getting LMs and group invites forced on me as soon as I land somewhere, I always ignore those things. I'd much rather just be told where to find that stuff if I decide I want it. It's a policy I stick to very strictly in my stores too.
