Default Dining Table

My table got here today!
I didn't want to shit up Nobody Cares because of some critical things going on in peoples lives right now.

So, this is an entirely new thread to shit up! YAY

Diva is UNHAPPY.
That was her area where she could sit and look out the window.
In her own way, she told me to fuck off.

The wood is off-color from my buffet. My buffet isn't quite as dark and has a much warmer reddish tone to it.

Since it is a big square table, I have to keep it farther away from that corner.
That back part is a corner and it has to have room for two chairs to move in and out.
You can see what I mean back up at the first picture.
As a result, my chandelier isn't exactly over the table.
I can move the table back... maybe 9 inches or so.

I got 8 chairs. I put two at my little bar.
Well, apparently there are standards for terms like "Bar" and Counter"
This is a "Counter" height table and not a "Bar" height table.
My "Bar" is at "Bar" height.
Who knew?

As a result the two chairs at the bar aren't quit tall enough.

Edit to add: I swear my house is not yellow. It is a beige color.
This camera makes my house look yellow.

These are the things that keep me awake at night

I gather that means your pup shit up the dining room?

She has bad taste evidently :P

BTW, I love the buffet. Can't wait to see that painting over it!

Oh, no, no, she wouldn't do that.
She enjoys being alive far too much to pull something like that.

I put her outside while they set it up.
When they were gone I let her in.

She walked up to it. Walked around it.
Walked up to me.
Grunted.
Went and laid on her bed.

I love the table and chairs. They keep hinting at Craftsman style to me, which is a style I love.

Re the table's height: You just need some more art on your wall and you'll be good to go:

Thank you, that belonged to my great grandmother.

My grandmother passed away when I was much younger and left it to my mother who died about 15 years ago. My father had his house foreclosed on a couple years ago and bought a camper. So, somehow, through fates twists and turns, I, a bitter divorced biker ended up with an absolutely beautiful cherry antique buffet and a full serving set in sterling silver to include a Russian Samovar. My brother got the china and crystal. He is an EOD tech in the Army, although, he is still married.

I've no doubt that my mother and grandmother are turning in their graves.

Why would they be turning over in their graves? They would be very happy that you and your brother are able to enjoy the things.
