I may use this one day for my avy but I am too much in love with Coco Chanel and her story.

Here is another excellent site for learning some tips on things that industrial sewers should and should not do.

You couldn't pay me to wear that. If it ever gets past the luxury apparel to the regular people's clothes, I'll have to start sewing.

I think some of them are quite inventive, there are tons popping up everywhere. I think it would be great if you were teaching sex ed to teens and they see this. It would get there attention.

check these out and this bunch too

Only one in person. Kink party (rather party on kinksters, not a play party) in San Francisco. But several I'm news stories.

And yest Morgaine, that's on of the news stories I saw. Sex Ed teacher wearing a condom dress.

I completed a baby blanket quilt for my neighbor and made her 3 onesies with patch work "ties" sewn to the neckline for the new baby boy. They were cute and simple to do. The blanket meh. I bought those premade quilt work yardage for the top, big mistake nothing matched up. I just gave it to her anyway tonight. I told her this is one of those blankets you can use outside in the grass and who cares if it gets messy. The fabric was adorable the only saving grace.

Lazy lazy rainy day.
I started working on my dress form some making 2 copies of a slip cover one in the orig size to cover the water damaged one and one in my size. I am thinking of a zipper on it so I can take it off if needed and it would then be a size 2 (orig size) if I need it that size ever again.

Its funny because when I lost all that weight it would have been just right or too big. I never know if that will happen again so that is why I am thinking of the zipper. I am now about a size 6 which is fine thank god I gained my weight back is all I can say! Health is never over rated. amen

Oh guys you may just love this little find!
Design your own fabric and this company, Spoonflower, will make it for you. It is a little on the pricey side but, for occasional orders not so much, just under $16 a yard. Now I did not have time to read up on all things at the site but, I believe you can also sell your fabric design and get 10% commission? It sounds fun and another thing on my sewing things to do list!

$16/yrd is really not bad at all for custom. I've spent over $10/yrd for off the shelf. Good quality but still off the shelf

1917 lady modeling the current fashions, I love one of the last if not the last hats with the slanted wide brim. My fathers mother would have been 16 at the time and I have a picture of her somewhere with a cool hairstyle bob type. Its fun to watch and imagine what she was thinking with clothes like this. My grandparents were very old when I came around they were 50ish when my dad was born.
or any of the women then

So I know a guy back in my home town (high school years) that gets his little girl every other weekend thing. They tend do cool stuff like go see car shows. Then this fabric showed up at Joannes yesterday and I thought hmm I love it. What about a cool purse for her so she can do car show in style but a tad bit girly.

I still have to sew on handles tomorrow and debating between 2 styles. You can see the back it has this retro pop car theme. I placed fun peacock blue glitter ribbon along the top edge. The bag has piping from the lining fabric between each piece of the outside shell and the front has a zipper pocket. On one side I put a small pocket for easy access lollipops.

This is the back.

the front

The closure will be this fancy dancy blue diamond button!

a zipper lined pocket on the outside front

This is the inside with two pockets, love the red polka dot to go with it.

Remember my dressform her name is now officially Betty and she is being bad. I am almost done with her new look and she got all kinds of frisky. If I can finish her up tonight I will get her on a pole and she can do her work there.

laying on the couch hungover from last night

laying in my bed, idk why there aint no man there

and trying to get a spa day in at my tub!

the funnier thing about it was my kids face as I dragged her around the house
