I want this desk!! I still might be a bit too tall for it though and it's a bit pricey. I would love the option of a desk that I could use for both standing and sitting.

The introduction of that sandwich was reported as a news story on a local station (along with updates on DWTS, Tiger Woods & Sandra Bullock, a product recall and a casting call scheduled for the next day).

I guess I should have been glad nothing really bad happened that day?

Oh, I meant to post this pic the other day.

Phil Deakins of Prim Savers has been working on an AO HUD for guys. Ghosty stopped by the store to test it out at the demo station:

Ghosty bought it for one of his alts, as Ghosty's quite taken with his Vista AO.

Sounds wonderful, if a bit daunting for introverted doggies, but I'm already on your friend's list, 3. (Last time I looked! ) Of course I can't dance much as a puppy I'm afraid, and I still owe Amar a dance too.

I have dreamed of something like that for a long time. At work I sometimes stack boxes on top of each other to lift the keyboard and monitor so I can stand. I stand because I can't stand to sit for long, so to speak.

Paint Shop Pro. Started slowly to die. First it took forever for things to save, when it had in the past been very fast. Then it took forever to load, start. Then it froze no matter what you did. Now it won't even open. It will try for long time, but it not open.

Oh no! I still do most of my work on an old version of PSP. I'm trying to switch over to GIMP but it's usually too tempting to just use the program I'm used to. I hope a good easy solution to this problem comes to you soon, Lexxi.

GIMP works great, Lexxi and Kaimi and you can't beat the price. It is enough like PSP and Photoshop to make it fairly intuitive. I wonder why PSP started behaving that way though. That sounds weird. No other programs are running slow like that? Hope your video card isn't going out.

Yes, I was leaving off the Corel part, but it is a Corel Paint Shop Pro. It is supposedly the most up to date version. It actually started going "bad" right after an update. I'll see if there is a way to get an installer there and/or find the one on my computer. I did not see it, though, last night.

I've had various programs over the years. There was a time when I'd use the very basic paint program that came free with the computer, along with the microsoft photo program that also came free. Eventually picked up Photoshop but could never figure it out. Mostly because I had Photoshop Elements and all the instructions/tutorials were for Photoshop and they kept telling me to do stuff that might very well have been in Elements but not where they said they were.

Then old computer melted. When setting up new, I got the free Gimp. It was annoying and so I also got the free Corel PSP trial. For a month or however long it was for. That was the easiest for me to figure out and use.

Thanks That was made with Gimp, though. I mean I played around with various settings in Gimp. Accidently gave myself an orangish tinge.

I've been getting certain graphic problems with hair. It would rez, then part would derez and become this block thing that blinks. While the rest of the hair stays rezzed and looking like it is supposed to look like.

Otherwise no other program is misbehaving like PSP.

Oh, and I never did really learn PSP. I just played with the various settings and picked up certain tricks. Which is hard to transfer because I do not really know what I was doing. heh, I edit by feel.

Ok, that's just wrong lol. I LOVE me some junk food but that looks kind of disgusting actually.

And Josh's comment about what kind of fillet made me laugh. So true.

Speaking of which and not to start a whole rant of the food industry here because I'm not one to talk, being I eat my fair share of fast food now and then, but G and I watched something on PBS the other night which really had us both rethinking how we may be eating in the future.

First of all, I've read my fair share of books about the food industry over the years and I'm well aware of the problems it has; from unsafe food handling practices right down to immigrant workers and there is no clear cut way to handle any of it which makes anyone happy or safe it seems.

Having said that I was particularly appalled on two accounts. First of all, the difference between how animals are treated in large corporations and small organic farms. I'm well aware that an animal is going to die regardless and have no issue with this. I like meat, and things have to die. But, seeing 100 pigs being corralled into a pen and being literally squished to death into each other, by a giant metal plate coming in on them, seemed way more inhumane and horrific to both of us, than taking a knife to their throat individually. I mean, the pigs saw this wall of metal coming at them and in a grand panic were trying to escape, climbing on top of each other, and freaking out. Truly something awful to watch (obviously, taken with hidden camera).

The second, was how immigrant workers for Smithfield Ham, were being arrested in the dark of night by Federal Agents who come armed to the hilt, literally crashing down the doors of their trailer homes.

The problem is - the executives are not the ones being arrested, the workers are. For fucks sake, who hired these people? They didn't walk into the job off the street and just start slaughtering on their own! SOMEONE hired them to work. And those *someones* are not getting in any trouble, only the illegal people do. Something is very, very wrong with that picture in my eyes. They hire them for crap wages, for very dangerous work, with no benefits to speak of, and then throw them out with the garbage - dispensable because they know more will be knocking on their door the next day to replace them.

I'm SO not a political person but this all just enraged me.

So, now we need to rethink how we eat. I don't see giving up meat/chicken (don't get me started on the poor chicken situation either), etc. It seems organic farming is somewhat better so, we'll have to start researching that.

*end rant* Have a nice day

maybe you want to roll back to the prior version?
im not sure how the psp registration version works... i dont know if you:
a. download a full version from their site, or
b. you buy a key and enter it into a trial version to unlock it.
in any case, this page has all the psp trial version installs available (if 'b' is the case).

So FYI - Ghosty (and most likely I) is leaving Facebook. If anyone follows him there, you can read *why* here on his blog http://ghostykips.blogspot.com/2010/...l#comment-form

If anyone enjoys said blog, please become a follower if not one already

As for me, I've become increasingly disgusted with FB as well. I only joined because when I met Ghosty, it was one of the ways for us to stay in touch, since we lived so far from each other. Now - being as we live together I don't need it for that reason, and find it to be pretty much as much an annoyance as he does so most likely I'll be opting out too.

FYI - I iz still on Twitter and intend to stay there.

Anyhoo - for those of you who follow me/us there just wanted to give you the heads up just in case we suddenly poof.

I agree. The problem is that on Facebook I have friends who have nothing to do with SL, several in fact, and family members as well. I'm just not sure if leaving is the right thing to do as I do enjoy keeping in touch with them this way. One, in particular is a dear friend who lives in Australia and I don't think there is any other good way to keep in touch.

I'm still mulling it over. I know G has had it for sure. Me - still on the fence but leaning over fast.

registering on a website and setting myself up to be tracked down by people from my past seems like a bad idea imo
