I figure they might want to replace the video card. However, I would want them to replace with one similar to what is in there now, as what is in there now I have specifically on account of Second Life. So a cheaper one wouldn't be as good, right?

The cable that would need to be replaced is the cable that goes from the back of the monitor, to the back of the PC. Looks like one of these two, either male or female.

A UPS is a Uninterruptible Power Supply - the computer power and monitor power plugs into it, and then it plugs into the wall. Larger than a standard power strip, and will keep your computer running if the power goes out suddenly.
