I thought I had a thread for general stuff for my perpetually "coming soon" store, Bang Rumpus, but apparently I don't.
So, now I do.
It's just for anything related to the store and whatever, instead of posting it in The Kick Box.
So, the newest news is that Bang Rumpus is moving!
I never finished building the store, but the neighborhood just doesn't suit my tastes.
It's all a bit too residential for me.
I was in-world yesterday checking out some plots of land and there's a couple that look promising.
(One of them is next to a she-male porn store, with two other sex based stores across the street.)
Here's what the old plot of land looks like now:

Well, the land sold... yay!
Not that I'm surprised it'd sell quick, I only asked $2k for a 512 in Zindra, where prices seem to regularly be above that (per sqm).
Now to find a new plot of land and get back to work on the store.
But I did go in-world and look for a new spot.
I landmarked a few places and I'm not sure which I'll go with... but may try looking for some more next time through.

While looking at the World Map for parcels that were for sale, a thought occurred to me.
It would be awesome if the World Map had land hunting options, like regular real estate sites and their maps.
Options for G/M/A, parcel size, mainland/estate, and anything else they could put in there.
Hell, they wouldn't even need the land search tool anymore if they folded it into the World Map.
I think I may start a Jira.
How would you like the feature to work?
I would like to see Land Search features added to the World Map.
Currently, we have to open Search > click Land & Rentals tab > click See All Land & Rentals > input search terms > scroll through list > manually input location in World Map (if you just want to see where it is and not teleport) > see if it's something you want to teleport to > teleport.
(While the World Map does currently show parcels for sale, there's no info on price or size or anything, just yellow shapes. Even if it did show those things, the details I'm suggesting would make it much more robust as a land search tool.)
My idea would be, Open Map > check relevant boxes (rating, size, location, etc.) > pan map until you find something interesting > teleport
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
This would make searching for land exceedingly easy compared to the laborious steps in place now.
It has the added benefit of visually panning/searching the in-world map instead of blind text descriptions.
Obviously, the benefits would be ease of use, speed of use and fun to use.
(Like online real estate maps.)
If I ever have to buy land again, I would love to have this tool!

I feel much better in this neighborhood.
Plus it's like, WAY closer to the main city area.
(Oh man! I just remembered... I have to start working on a new skin for myself soon.)
(I promised myself I'd have a new skin for when I get Bang Rumpus stocked and officially open for real business.)
(Probably a better version of what I've got now, plus some changing the face markings.)
(I doubt I'll do the drastic change I've thought of... blue skin, silver markings, black hair. Most likely stay red, blue, blonde... for now.)

(I mean, there's only 10 designs. And they're crappy tattoo layer t-shirts. But they're mine and I made them and my store has shit in it now and the next step is to start a RL component on Redbubble, so I'm kinda thrilled right now.
Anyway...
