I'm not banned from SLU. This is because I stopped going there about a week after I started. I only go on there once in a blue moon to play "bejewelled" in the arcade, when I'm in the mood to zombify myself.
When I did go there, the levels of poison and nastiness in the political forum [and my corresponding anger levels] were off the chart, and it was making me sick in response- SO, I went to hang out at the Duchy a bit and then SS more than that. Smarter invective and diatribe, kinder interpersonal peeps.
I have a fairly high threshold for agita, and try to keep my cool even when people are out of control, but really hate bullying pileons, victimization complexes, and incessant shrill, venomous attacks.
There's some bad juju in that forum. I would miss my bejewelled, but I wouldn't cry either.
Never been banned that I know of, just that my registration just keeps getting punted, I re-register and 6 months later I'm not in the database and over and over and after I dunno 2 or 3 years of doing it I got tired of it. Everytime Cris would ask why/when I'd post over there I would remind him of the issue and basically he shrugged. So I don't bother. AND all I hear about the forum there and saw was nasty, back stabby, schoolyard politicy ugliness. If I want that, I'll talk to my sister and Mom again.
I know where I stand here and am comfy here. So I stay here and don't sweat the other forums.

Yeah, all that's true, but it's true here, too.
The difference is here you are much less likely to get banned, if you are on the stick end of it.
Bullies and martyrs sometimes don't know that they are, by the way.
The other difference is there is more political diversity here, and more political diversity tolerated, I think. That allows for more lively discussions; less total brutal beatdowns and annihilations of the other views.

the group is simply what it is; a means to associate yourself with an slu banning, temporary or permanent. the group does not intend to make any sort of commentary on cristianos banning policy.
