That's what I was thinking, too. The ads say you can ignore all the smoking bans, etc. But I have a feeling I know what reaction you would get if you took one of these out at your local Applebees or in the Chuck E. Cheese at a kid's birthday party. I can see moms recoiling in horror, clutching their children to their breasts and frantically dialing 911.

i have been using this for almost 24 hours. Yes i am getting some cravings for a real cig naturally, my body wants the nicotine. BUT. i just vape way.. and i am ok. Seriously, its the best thing i have purchased in a long long time.

Normally at this point , i would be clawing at the walls.

Possible air germicide

Studies conducted in 1942 by Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson of University of Chicago's Billings Hospital showed vaporized propylene glycol inhalation in laboratory mice may prevent pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases. Additional studies in monkeys and other animals were undertaken to determine longterm effects, especially the potential for accumulation in the lungs. After a few months of treatment, no ill effects were discovered.[17]
1942.. huh and we are in what ? 2010. the fda who dubbed PG safe as a food additive is freaking out about e-cigs? lol but hey smoke a real cig because that won't kill you.

you should be more scared of the FDA than the person vaping beside you.

if i remember correctly, this same ingredient is in asthma inhalers.

My google foo has let me down. I'm trying to find a local merchant for Huntsville, AL. I 'd rather do it that way than by internet. Walgreens and CVS were a no go.

Actually, propelyne glycol would have /me/ recoiling in horror more than smoke - it causes really savage blisters on whatever mucus membrane it touches. How did I find out?

Let's just say that flavored lubes are not an option.

Terrifically. Blisters. Not fun, especially not when your boyfriend suddenly stops mid-oral and asks "DID YOU GIVE ME HERPES OH MY GOD" - and you're suddenly gripped with TERROR that you have an STD.

Spent weeks getting checked, and it turns out that, no, I was (and am) STD-free - but not before he dumped me.

He was lousy in bed, too.

Well, you have to be careful with that train of thought. Medication that just got approved for use with multiple sclerosis called 4AP (4-Aminopyridine) was originally used as bird poison at air ports.

Tya, I'll be following this thread as I'm like you - I can quit smoking cold turkey from the nicotine, but it's the HABIT of smoking that does me in.

What brand did you buy?

I'm still not off the regular smokes entirely - trying to get down to 3 today. This is mainly because I still have some on hand, and it seems to me I'm addicted to more than the nicotine, since I'm getting that from vaping. There's still something else in that cig that my body wants. But down to 3 a day instead of 10-12 is improvement, and I already feel better for it. Just gotta make that last step off the tobacco entirely.

(Tya's thread, but she did say I could post )

Leck did you order e-juice also? if not , order a bottle.

the cartridges in the starter kit don't last long. I realized that after two days and ordered some e-juice. 30ml bottle of Vanilla Mint. I thought it came with the starter kit. o.O

I had to go the weekend without the e-juice and i was having a hard time cause my cartridges were sucked dry. If its dry you can't vape. So yeah, i was climbing the walls.

I have noticed since i quit, that food is starting to taste sweeter. i think this is a good thing...

I am sure if i had ordered nicotine, i would be so much easier, but i have basically gone cold turkey. the vaping gives me something to do with my hands and i can honestly say, i do feel like i am smoking a cig. just tastes really good. I am kinda nervous i may get hooked into e-cigs.

I looked at my sig here, about how much money i have saved, and yeah that is just about right. it makes me someone what nausea to see it and to see how many smokes i haven't smoked.

Seeing my sig, just motivates me more so.

I didn't order the e-juice but did get an extra 5 pack. Will go back and order the juice now thanks for the info. Didn't arrive today had to buy another pack of cowboy killers. I'm being hard on myself building up to it though and they are lasting me about 2.5 days a pack now. Hoping the e-cig will kill it completely.

p.s. I was a wimp and ordered the nicotine for the first go round.

you are not a wimp, i am just a glutton for punishment. what level of nic did you order?

they say to order a lower amount that you actually smoke, if you are 2.5 days for one pack, order the lowest. you have to remember that its direct nicotine, and its not low as a reg cig. i have just read this from various people on the e-cig forums. To much nic might have you hopping around the room.

When your cartridges run dry, only add about 2 drops of e-juice in., that should last you about " 2 cigs" worth.

if your juice doesn't come with an eye dropper, get one from the drug store....

heh

16mg

Hafta remember I 'quit' back in 08 while in hospital 2 weeks for the heart shit. I was smoking again full blast 3 months later to include cigars.

I'm hardcore serious about not having my chest cracked open again so setting myself up for success. If that includes being a nic wimp and having a few migraines, I'm willing.

Ugh. I still can't get myself under 5 cigs a day, even with vaping all day long on high mg cartridges. There's something else in the cigs I want and I have no willpower against the discomfort. I haz a bit of a disappoint.

Well, I have been smoking tobacco in one form or another for 33 years. Maybe I shouldn't expect complete results in 3 weeks? Or am I just weak?

I am excited for you guys. Just don't be surprised if the cravings don't go away - there's something really seductive, not just about the nic but about the process we use to get it.

Twice times I've quit cold turkey in October, only to fall again at Christmas, when there are so many parties going on with people drinking and smoking....and ya know, you just have to smoke when you drink. If I start now....maybe by Christmas it'll be more deeply embedded in my brain and I can just walk away. Maybe.

This is actually not an attempt to quit. It's more an attempt to cut back....way back....like 1 1/2 packs a day back. My lungs are protesting.
