Just ignore and let this one die

just ignore my bad, false alarm, restarted firefox and all was fine... for now

(It needs a new home, treat it well, and I wish you all a happy and healthy life full of all that you want, need, desire, etc)

I probably won't be around, but, I saw a post over on SL that pertained to the fact it might be nice if I restarted the old thread... so... here it is.. reborn, intentionally this time, but I do hope with the same love, kindness, friendships and fun that the other one had.

God bless you all

Home was never like this . . .

Elora Lunasea 02-04-2010 07:14 AM

So, I'm heading home on the train last night and realize one of my diamond earrings is not in my ear. I manage not to freak out. Not stuck in my hat or scarf. Oh no. Called my office and spoke to one of the woman still there, asked her to put out an email mentioning if anyone found it, to leave it on my desk (hope against hope - the office is rather large). Get home, it's not in my bed, or near the floor of the bed, or the couch, or anywhere.

As I'm heading to bed I always check my voice mail (sometimes I don't hear the phone ring, I have a bad habit of leaving it in my bag, 1/2 way across the apartment). There's a voice mail from my office - one of the woman found the earring! Yay! Utter shock.

The earrings don't hold an emotional tie to me anymore (from my ex) but, I wear them everyday, have for years now, so I'm rather attached to them.

/me goes off to find a jeweler today to find new backs for them - maybe some "safety" ones :P

Heading out to lunch. Hope to find a quiet venue - not likely. I hate this area for eating out (Financial District). There is just no little out of the way place to sit and peacefully eat a meal. Everywhere is frantic and fast-paced (and ridiculously expensive). I wind up eating at my desk nearly all the time, which believe it or not, is usually less hectic than anywhere else.

Also happens to be incredibly bad for you. But I know what you mean, Lunch is no fun if you stressing over where to go. :(

Maybe you can just lay your earrings on the desk and go home. Let them work for you!
