No more Robocalls

I couldn't be happier!

Many of those annoying prerecorded telemarketing calls will be history starting Sept. 1.

The Federal Trade Commission said Thursday that it is banning these "robocalls" to consumers, unless the telemarketer has written permission from a customer that he or she wants to receive these calls.

They've been getting progressively worse, what with spoofed caller ID (I hear that this actually screws up 911 dispatcher systems... it has to be illegal) and calling cell phones and all.

I get between 5 - 8 fucking robocalls a day......We need a law like this in the UK.

The worst thing is the're all for loan consolidation & debt companys........I've never been in debt or had a loan in my life!!:mad:

I've no land line, so robocalls aren't a problem... junk mail on the other hand.. bloody half of my green bin gets filled with the shite... :mad:

I hate the ones where they say, "we have an important message for you, please stay on the line and the next..." I forget the last part but the last time was to tell me that they would be in my neighborhood next week and then a window speel.

Don't call me and put me on hold.

Who takes these sort of jobs? Like the people who go door to door, I hate them, I don't think anyone does like them. Who takes this kind of job? And they are asses for taking them and perpetuating these annoyances.

Also don't come to my house to sell me your religion.

Mostly just don't come to my house if I don't invite you, ya know?
