So...does anyone watch Glee?

*crickets chirp*

Um...yeah. I've been discovering that watching this show is a bit of a guilty pleasure. Hey, I may just be talking to myself in this thread. That's okay, I just needed to post some random thoughts. And, as always, I post to watch myself think. :D

Anyways, Glee is possibly the funniest character-driven show I've seen in a long time. It has a powerful gay-positive message that transcends the typical Will and Grace goofiness most shows use nowadays. It has musical numbers that actually rock. And it's got Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester. :fangirl:

Anyways, I've been avidly reading the news for what's planned for season 2, and it mildly worries me. Currently, there are plans for:

A Britney Spears hallucinogenic episode
A Christmas episode with Susan Boyle
A tribute episode to The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Guest stars John Stamos, Idena Menzel, Kristin Chenowith, and Carol Burnett

I'm really wanting this show not to burn out in its second season...but I'm also thinking they might be doing too much too soon.

Anyways, I was kinda curious to find out if there was anyone at SC that will admit to being a Gleek. :)

I watch Glee, completely guilt free. It's quirky, not your typical teen/high school type show at all.

That's the way mfume C's it.

Between this world and Twihards I'm really hoping that Russia has a change of heart and becomes the USSR soon and we launch nukes at eachother.

Unlike Twilight, Glee episodes have actual writers who can entertain with a script, and not a breathless emo Mary Sue who angsts over her impossibly handsome supernatural boyfriends.

Gawd. Twilight makes Anita Blake novels look like Shakespeare.

I don't expect everyone to like Glee...in fact, I know a lot of people just hate musicals on general principle.

But comparing us to TwinkleVamps is a little low.

 At first I thought this was a mistype for 'Any GLE fans out there?' but this is a much different thread... there's actually people in it.

yeah, I can see a resemblance between GLE's and Sue's Corner, but a lot less effort is required on my part; no need to engage in post after post in order to :pointlaugh:
