to be fair, it does prolly spell the end of humans as we will most likely egotistically screw it up, and much like the mary shellys creation, it will destry us

so, if that is your complaint, rest easy with the knowledge that our ability to control our monster will not be great enough to overcome our ambition AND collective apathy of what was happening

This is an important step, but not as much of a ginormous breakthrough as it might seem, I think.
