KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The man accused of being the ringleader of a carjacking that turned into the rapes and murders (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,570106,00.html) of a Tennessee couple was convicted of the most serious charges and now faces the death penalty.

The jury, which deliberated a little more than 8 hours before returning the verdict against Lemaricus Davidson, 28, Tuesday was hearing evidence Wednesday on whether to sentence him to death.

I wonder if lefties here are also against the death penalty in this case. I wonder if most of you have even heard the details about this horror (http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/newsom.asp).

It's odd how this story was barely in the news. I wonder why...

Life imprisonment... with no chance of parole

Hell keep the fuckers in solitary, but dont stoop to their level.

(BTW, Snopes says the mutilations listed as part of the crime were fabrications Stank..... but frankly those mutilations arent neccessary to make it a gruesome and abhorrent crime)

the snopes article that you quoted actually discusses that. but as we have noted before, your reading and comprehension skills are not all that and a bag of chips

Ah yes, it's not quite as bad as first reported, so no big whoop.

Imagine if this was a gang of white guys that did this to a black couple. It would have been the top story for months, our dumbass president would be signing completely lame laws with victims' names attached to it.

But I guess this crime, for some reason, just isn't very newsworthy. Hmmm, I wonder why.

The crimes occured under Bush's tenure...

Are you suggesting that Bush is Obama in a mask??

The President doesn't have much to do with what news stories are covered, and how much. I guess he could have drawn more attention to this story, but that's not his job.

That's the press's job. Remember when those white guys from Duke were accused of raping that black stripper? Now why was that such big news, even though the stripper was lying, and this, real crime, is barely in the news.

Hmmmmmmm......

why stop here? i'm sure you can find other things that you thought were newsworthy that the actual news outlets didn't. you, having experience in running a news organization, are in a fantastic position to dictate to news organizations what is newsworthy. I'm sure your employment is in this area.

It was a horrific crime.

I however, do not decide what is "news" to media whores.

However, just a little googling shows that the right wingers and white supremacists are busy exploiting it, along with altering the facts about the case, as your link is doing, Stank.

White supremacists have jumped onto the bandwagon, seeking to twist the facts for their own racist agenda.

They spread false details about the murders, claiming the victims were sexually dismembered and that Channon was sexually tortured for days, neither of which is true.

‘It was a terrible crime, a horrendous crime, but race was not a motive. We know from our investigation that the people charged in this case were friends with white people, socialised with white people, dated white people.

'So not only is there no evidence of any racial animus, there’s evidence to the contrary,’ he added.

But that hasn’t stopped conservative critics from blaming liberal bias in the US mainstream media for failing to cover the attacks.

Columnist and right-wing blogger Michelle Malkin weighed in, saying: ‘This case – an attractive white couple murdered by five black thugs –doesn’t fit any political agenda.

'It’s not a useful crime. Reverse the races and just imagine how the national media would cover the story of a young black couple murdered by five white assailants.’

Country music singer Charlie Daniels pointed out the media frenzy that came after a black woman accused three white members of the Duke University lacrosse team of raping her.

The players were later cleared after their accuser changed her story.

But Daniels said on his website: ‘If this had been white on black crime, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and their ilk would have descended on Knoxville like a swarm of angry bees.’

Ah, for those halcyon days when white people were free to rape and murder black people without being set upon by the liberal media.

I'm not at all surprised that your broken brain would see it that way, instead of the way in which I obviously meant it, that attention is not being given to this crime for some reason. Some reason I can't even figure out. Hmmmmmm

It's not trolling, it is just facts and truth. I know that it bothers you, but that's your problem, not mine. Put me on ignore if you don't like it, Einstein.

Ahahaha, you should stop whining so much then, if you're going to pretend it doesn't bother you. That kind of gives it away, Albert.
