I only occasionally partake, but a friend of Indian descent who's a bit of a connoisseur posted this to Facebook. He and his friends were complaining about it as Bad Bollywood, because I guess it's a ripoff of an Old School Bollywood thing.

Personally, I kind of liked it- it's got it all- the big dance number with the great costumes, the impossibly high singing, the uber-feminine/masculine protagonists, the extreme corn factor, and etc.

He translated the lyrics for me,
"the bangles are tinkling -the bracelets are chiming and with every sound they say i belong to my beloved -and for him only i long -i cannot live without him/her."

I've always liked the fact that the women had some flesh on them in Bollywood movies :) I recall comedy skits at parties back home that parodied these song and dance scenes - with a human coconut tree with balloons for coconuts around their necks...

mmmm! I am loving the "warehouse sale"- there are a few that I wish I had the $$ for! [and me too re. weight loss- am doing a lot better than last year but still have a ways to go].
