No, not an intro to a fairy tale, but the title of a show about fairy tales!
Snow White and Prince Charming are at their wedding...the Evil Queen bursts in and tells all in attendance that her final curse would be her best, and they'd all never see a happy ending again!
Her curse? Send them all to Maine, where time is stopped and they all have no idea of their lives in the enchanted forest. Jiminy Cricket is now the town psychologist (in human form), Geppeto is a cop, Grumpy the Dwarf is the town drunk, Granny and Red Riding Hood (now a punk rocker) run the Bed & Breakfast, and the Evil Queen is the town's mayor.
Just before the curse hits the Enchanted Forest, Snow White's baby is tossed into a wardrobe which saves her from the curse...it had been prophesied that the baby would come back on her 28th birthday to begin the final battle between Good and Evil.
I won't give away more of the plot, but I just watched the first episode and I'm looking forward to the rest. I've liked fairy tales long enough to enjoy it, and the plot is twisted enough to seem like it'll be interesting for a few seasons, at least.
Check it out!
This has been another in a series of posts in which Spacey tells you what to do cuz you'll like it. Thank you for your patience, and your compliance.
