That said, the reason I normally make a point of "Thanking" people who take the time to expresse their religious beliefs in a forum, is that there often doesn't seem to be much in it for them.

Perhaps the trick, as I think you might be suggesting, would be to have a comparitive religion thread in which the atheists pre-agreed to remain mute. Myself most definitely included. :)

A lot of people could be called "too stupid to vote". But IMO one of the beauties of the US is that you can vote, if you so choose, regardless of beliefs. Even regardless of whether the belief is rational or not.

God created, we are on the brink(just go along with me here) of learning how to create all on our own. If we are the image of God, it only makes sense. We push towards being able to play God, because it is what our human nature desires.
