It is not only the Eduislands, there are High Schools Sims, Sindicates, Politican parties, Govermment agencies, banks, etc, and they all are paying the $1,200USD set up fee and the $300USD monthly maintenance fee instead of using it in anything to solve the crisis.

There is a lot of islands in secondlife that are paid with "public money" and that means that they belong a little bit to each one of us, and they are always dead, so I encourage you all to search for "Eduislands", "Teachers", and pulic organizations, and go there to build your house.
