I am thinking of moving my DK and my rogue back to lightninghoof. Now that I can have them on the same account:D. I miss the hoof and the people I started wow with. Now only if I could get mulch and fic back life would be great. I know FIC is still playing just cant seem to find the shithead. Mulch is too engulfed in WAR.

I'm currently leveling a Ret Pally, but have taken a break from leveling to get her the Ambassador title before she quests outlands.... Humans (she's human) and Dwarves done, now working on Space Goats and Elves. I'm shuddering thinking about Gnomes.

I'm thinking of just doing Loremaster from both old world continents too just because. The goal is to be 80 as early as possible into Northrend questing, so she can grind gold via quests.

Thankfully, I had a friend "powerlevel" me (and one of his alts). It was fun to have the company and kept my spirits up. The only downfall is that we went so fast that I missed quite a bit of the Alliance-side story line.

Kavik I thought about this a while back. Problem being most of the people on GH are there because they dont like the pvp aspect. And the people on LH really dont care. I find my biggest problem with the pve servers is if somebody is griefing a non major city all they have to do is wait out the pvp flag and then grief you in other ways.

The night I played scylloga the mage it took all of ten minutes out in borean tundra before a druid 3 levels above me tried to gank me. I was rusty and almost died but if came back real fast how to whip ass.

It is all automated these days. Usually you are moved within an hour of making the requests.

Seriously there are only a few people I would gank and camp on my rogue. During the fire festival I tired to get Kavik but he woldnt haave no part of it. Not sure if he was just scared or too busy to enjoy a lil friendly pvp :clapping:.

The bad part is the people Iplay with on gh alliance side are some awesome people. I just miss playing on the 'hoof. I have always came back.

I've gotten roughly 5 upgrades from the badge vendor so far. Granted most of them are replacements for shit that just won't drop for me in Ulduar (Have been waiting for a piece of T8 that isn't a downgrade, gloves, chest, pants... for several months now).

Finally found a decent raid guild couple of months ago; while it's been quite the change of pace I really enjoy focussed raids instead of wasting so much time waiting for people to get their shit together. We finally downed Northrend Beasts heroic last night! (yeah, yeah, backwater server but still! I'm damn proud)

In about a week I've gone from quest blues to all 200/219+ epics via there on my Paladin.

Good day yesterday. Ran the Direbrew quest in BRD and came away with [Bubbling Brightbrew Charm] (trinket that adds 170 stamina and gives you the ability to summon the Brewmaiden) and [Direbrew's Shanker 2.0] (dagger, 143.2 dps, +51 attack power, +27 critical strike, +22 hit rating. +38 agility, +38 stamina).

Then I ran Heroic Nexus and got [War Mace of Unrequited Love] (main hand mace, 88.5 dps, +49 intellect, +408 spell power, 24 mp5) and [Sphere of Red Dragon's Blood] (trinket, +55 hit rating, usage increases attack power by 670 for 20 sec.

Also got the [Find Fish] ability and the [1000 Fish] achievement, as well as finally getting my fishing to 300 and buying the [Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole].

WOW can not hold my attention for more than 2 weeks at a time. Last time I was logged on, I moved my main to Grizzly Hills and have not logged on again yet. That had to be 3 months ago.

Wipe nights honestly aren't so bad.

Learning a fight? Its expected. But a good raid leader needs to know when to cut it, when people are getting frustrated.

We generally keep Archavon open in my guild all week, that way we always have a nice easy raid we can hit after a hard nights wiping, you know, boost our ego's a bit.

The nights that are really frustrating, are the ones where we wipe to farm content. Nothing can send me into an apoplectic frenzy more than watching someone DPS one of the adds down on Freya when the other two are at 25% and 75%. Or someone gravity bombs the whole raid.

Or last week it was standing in fires during Northrend Beasts :|

It should be noted however that for the most part our raiding is self supporting. I.e. we make more money doing it than we lose. If it became like last expansion where payouts were slim and raiding generally had to be supported by dailies... it could go get bent.

Aion is fun. Part of me thinks that it's just the newness and challenge of not knowing the quests, etc., that makes it fun right now. We'll see.

Honestly, I'm just waiting on the Star Wars MMO to come out in about a year. Can't do much more in WoW other than work on Achievements; so Aion is filling in for now.

No I thought about it really hard. Even was at the confirm screen and decided Scylloga was my very first toon and it seemed very wrong to convert him.


I wish the people I play with on my alliance toons and the people from LH and GH horde was all the same faction. When I took my break from playing daily to maybe logging on twice a week and came back. I was surprised in how people truly missed having me around.

Today was the last day of Brewfest, and I got the [Bitter Balebrew Charm] (trinket that adds 170 stamina and gives you the ability to summon the Black Brewmaiden, who will throw mugs at your enemies). Together with the [Bubbling Brightbrew Charm] that I got last week, that gives me a total of +340 stamina. Not bad.

I also got another [Tankard O'Terror], which I put up on the AH. The ones that are on there now are anywhere from 999g on up, so I undercut that just slightly, and hopefully it'll sell.

As for the bored with WoW theme there...I logged into WoW for the first time in 15 days last night. Found that my sound on my PC was completely killed while running WoW. So, downloaded some updated drivers for my onboard sound and ran the install. After the first reboot my computer decided not to start back up completely.

So, in other words, I should have stayed out of WoW because it caused me to kill my computer! argh!

Now I can't do anything, let alone play Batman Arkham Asylum! grrrr...

Okay, so I collect pets in WoW. So one of my guildmates gave me the Elwynn Lamb. OMG Blizzard! So, this isn't just any normal pet for those of you that don't have it. I was sitting at the zep tower with another of my guildmates and all of a sudden a wolf came out of nowhere and ate my lamb and fell asleep. I literally gasped and asked my guildmate if he saw that. He had seen it and we both started laughing. I had to keep taking it out to be sure everybody in the raid last night saw it. Yes, I am :loco:.

Agreed, its a pity that EU and US are segregated as well.

I think you can pay approx 15 quid and get a realm/server transfer if you want to join friends on their server but this wont cross over the geographically segregated servers.

I was told that if I wanted to play on US servers from the UK that Id have to buy the WOW US version of the game and make a new account (that would include TBC and WOTLK) and start from lvl 1.

Im not sure how true this is but I have a friend in Oz who wanted to play on the same server as myself and he bought UK/EU versions of the game and was able to play on the EU servers/realms. So it might work but its a huge kerfuffle to have to do. Id also have to get a US recognised CC as well.

Anyone got any more ideas how yanks and brits could play on the same server or if blizz have any plans to merge US and EU realms?

I knew nothing about quest helper and was questing using thottbot and a pad of A4 and a pen. I didn't even know about talents or that I had to 'spend' them.

Then when I was about lvl 60 I was chatting to someone and was proudly telling them how well I thought I'd done and he told me how to do the 'hours spent' check....then proceeded to tell me I could have levelled 2 toons to 80 in that time!!!

So I joined his guild (hadn't been in one before, the reasons for that are a whole other story)...got quest helper and started making a talent tree, things went a little faster then.

This is something I heard multiple times the day of patch...

It amazes me how people that play this game dont understand when a new patch drops they break addons. Its the Blizzard way.

Not meaning to single you out Sally. Even when I didnt log in for almost a month and a ahlf I updated addons before hand because I hate the errors.

Nah, I haven't logged in but once since the patch, I know there will be patches to add-ons, doesn't mean it makes me any less blah about it.

For gaining rep:

1. Check all the Colisseum grounds dailies. Those are great to earn rep with 7 different factions (5 cities, Argent Crusade, and the one that applies to Horde... no idea).

2. Get to friendly with any faction in WoLK and buy a tabard. Use it consistently when doing instances.

3. If you want Outland factions rep, the easiest ones are: Sporegarr; Kurenai and Consortium... it is all about grinding

I've canceled two times before, each time I had gotten thoroughly sick of the game.

The first time was right when BG's were released for the very first time and I had a 3 hour wait to do AV. The 3 hour wait lasted approximately 6 hours.

I quit for over a year and a half.

I started playing again to do something with Sally aside from SL. Raided as far as we could go. Got bored. Quit.

Stayed quit for about a year.

New expansion came along. It sucked Sally in. Got tired of watching CSI reruns by myself. Rereged.

And now I'm sick of it again.

I'm willing to bet the next xpac will be similar, I'll play it, get into it, see the vast majority of the content, then say "Welp, I'm done" and quit.

Right around the point I start thinking "Wheeeee Treadmill!" it is probably time to quit the game.

The addition of achievements this last expansion, and titles for pretty much nothing I see as a huge negative. When you reward everyone, for doing anything, rewards stop having meaning.

another attempt at "starcaller" ruined by a stupid as fuck dk tank this week *grrrr* i don't have a regular 10 man group so i just jump in and help one of the guild's regular groups when i have time. this id they had a new dk with them as trial, who didn't pay attention to anything. i know it's not the easiest fight to tank, i've tanked it myself - but there's learning mistakes, and then there's really fucking stupid mistakes. if you don't know the fight, ask! and when you get answers, open those rotting un-undead ears of yours.

It was a lot of fun reading some of those books, though, so if I'm bored I go look for books to see if I find any I haven't read yet :D. They've added a laundry gnome to the Threads of Fate store balcony since I did the book quest. I love when Blizz adds stuff like that. :lol:

I think it's the 21st. There's a calendar on your minimap in WoW that shows when the holidays start and end and in-game events (Kalu'ak Fishing Tournament, Darkmoon Faire, etc.)

Once you get to Outlands, questing is fast... for that I would recommend feral, no mana to worry about.

Healing on a druid is way too fun, that is the spec I normally run 5 men instances with these days.

On an unrelated note, I got my battered hilt, did the quest chain and I am the proud owner of a cheesy looking 2H mace (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50052) now.

I am still having fun bear-tanking with my drood, now lvl 32 or so. Getting into an autopug as a tank on Grizzly Hills is pretty much instantaneous, and SM GY (which is pretty much the only thing ya get at this level) is fast and easy.

And my Grizzly Hills hunter is in Outland! Which is fun; never been there as Horde before.

part of the reason I've been healing is it's a lot easier on my joints than tanking or dpsing. a lot of my frustration in wow right now comes down to not having anyone left on my server that i know and can run with. i think i'm just burned out and should take a break.

That's why I wound up quitting for a while, K. Playing DDO these days. Much cheaper, and I prefer the gameplay- more like Oblivion in nature.

If you decide to get into DDO, I'm on Argonessen server [so is Matt]. Not hugely social compared to WoW, but on the other hand the tone is completely more civilized there.

Was it a ninja move where one person needed and all others greeded or did a range just win the roll? If it was won fair and square, it sucks, but the monetary reward and/or the weapon reward (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=24801) is good for any class mechanic.

Interesting news on my front. I was asked to join an ICC 25 raiding guild on my Druid and after some consideration I said yes. That means that the Bear is now a Tree; I switched main specs for this raiding period.

Did ICC 25 and last night ICC 10 where I downed Rotface and PP for the first time, that was very fun.

Besides that, my male human paladin is now the cutest female dorf ever!

Getting more and more frustrated with the raiding game. The guild I'm in does great until we get to the end bosses. Server firsts on NRB heroic, Valkyrs heroic (both 25) but Anub hero still un-downed after more than a hundred wipes - of course every other raiding guild on the server has him down. Yogg-Saron NH? Took us months, and we didn't even try Algalon 25. Now ICC25, it's the same game - server firsts on Putricide, Bloodqueen and Sindragosa but we're stuck on Lich King. One guild on the server already downed him, another one is very close to, and we're failing on phase 2 because moving out of defiles is hard. No, really. Of course we only have 2 days / 9 hours of raid per week where the other guilds raid more like 3-4 days but I'm still frustrated. On one hand I want to raid in a more competitive guild, on the other hand I know I have neither the time to commit, nor the necessary skills - I'm a decent player, but not top dps.

So, I don't know. I'll probably stay at least until we down LK and maybe for a few hardmodes after that, just to see them - but after that, I guess it'll be time to say goodbye to WoW. At least I'll have decent levelling equip for Cataclysm :D

A 9hrs per week raid that accomplish server firsts is nothing to be ashamed of. I think is impressive.

I would assume that in the case of end bosses the learning curve is more pronounced, and having the chance to push it hard makes a slight difference.

I like to jump in and out of boats and do low level dungeons wihtout pants. I fall down a lot and like to make macros from old cartoons like "GO GO GOPHERS WATCH EM GO GO GO!" I guess maybe someday I'll do raids but I doubt it. I like to jump in boats.

I convinced Don to go for the Loremaster achievement before the expansion. I read a article on a blog about how Cataclysm will change Azeroth forever and alot of quests will no longer be available or change.

I am leveling a baby shaman, and I'm leveling her against all recommendations, Elemental.

Oh yeah and Don is going to have his 3rd lvl 80 this weekend. I made being a ret pally look so easy he decided to level one of his own.

So basically thats all we're up to in wow.
